A significant step was made this week, when the Queensland Termination of Pregnancy Guidelines were changed to recognise that a duty of care is owed to a child born alive after their abortion.
This explicit recognition that a baby who survives their abortion is a person under the law is a win for our side.
It shows that the pressure we are putting on the Queensland government to protect these vulnerable babies IS having an impact.
The Queensland election is on October 26 and abortion is going to be one of the key battleground areas.
Queensland is the abortion capital of Australia with late-term abortions doubling under the Miles Government and the highest number of babies killed by abortion pills than in any other Australian state.
