Opening song: “Sad Little Man” by Five Times August
This is particularly relevant this week, because the Sad Little Man is Anthony Fauci. This song was first published in about 2021.

VAHPA Members Escalate Industrial Action with 24-Hour Statewide Work Stoppage
VAHPA public sector members have voted overwhelmingly in favour of a 24-hour statewide work stoppage across Victorian public health on Tuesday, 11 August.
The day will also feature a major rally in Melbourne, bringing together Allied Health Professionals from across Victoria to send a clear message to the Victorian Government that we will not settle for an agreement that undervalues our professions. More details about the rally will be announced soon.
This escalation follows on from our rolling three-hour stop works and the huge 24-hour work stoppage and rally on 16 June, when Allied Health Professionals demonstrated the strength and unity of our campaign.
After 11 months of bargaining, months of protected industrial action, and record membership growth, the Victorian Labor Government has still failed to put forward an enterprise agreement offer that properly recognises the value of Allied Health Professionals.
Save the date. Organise your colleagues. Spread the word.
VAHPA is now working to formally notify VHIA and employers of the protected industrial action and will provide members with detailed guidance about participating in the work stoppage.
This action needs to be bigger than ever. Together, we can send another unmistakable message that Allied Health Professionals remain united, determined and prepared to keep fighting until we secure an agreement that delivers fair pay, manageable workloads and the recognition our professions deserve.
Thanks, Maribelle, for your LIVE performance of You make me feel like a natural woman, as our closing song.
Wonderful and very special.
